Ascension of Polka Dots on the Trees on ollut aiemmin esillä muun muassa Lontoossa, Singaporessa ja Moskovassa.Japanilainen Yayoi Kusama (s. 1929) on maailman merkittävimpiä nykytaiteilijoita. "Luomani julkiset taideteokset ovat saaneet inspiraationsa kauniista luonnosta sekä ihmisistä, ja ne luovat vuoropuhelua elollisten olentojen ja luonnon välille. Teoksia katsomalla upea Helsinki ja toivomamme elämä muuttuvat vielä kauniimmiksi," Kusama kertoo. Ascension of Polka Dots on the Trees will establish a wonderland in the park when 20 trees in Theatre Esplanadi are wrapped in Yayoi Kusama's dotted fabric. Kusama's hallmark is an endless profusion of polka dots. Polka dots represent many things for her, such as the Sun, which provides energy for life and to the entire planet. The work was unveiled on Helsinki Day in 2016 by Mayor Jussi Pajunen and was on show until 9 October. Ascension of Polka Dots on the Trees had previously been on show in London, Singapore, Moscow and elsewhere.Japanese Yayoi Kusama (born 1929) is one of the world's foremost contemporary artists who is known for public works of art. "These works have been inspired by beautiful nature and people, and they create communication between nature and living beings. The shining city of Helsinki, as well as the life we wish for becomes even more beautiful," says Yayoi Kusama. Ascension of Polka Dots on the Trees (tilapäinen teos - poistettu) Ascension of Polka Dots on the Trees (Temporary work - Removed) 2018-04-13T15:34:01+03:00 www.hel.fi kaikki 2020-11-05T16:32:40.193352+02:00 [1403] [2006] [767
tilapäinen", "installaatio", "punainen", "ympäristötaide", "värikäs", "espa", "väliaikainen", "puisto", "paikan haltuunotto", "pilkkuteos", "pilkullinen", "pilkut", "päällystetty", "tilan haltuunotto", "valkoinen", "puu
installation", "miljökonst", "temporär", "tillfällig", "prickig
installation", "environmental art", "temporary", "dot art", "dots"]} Yayoi Kusama: Ascension of Polka Dots on the Trees (tilapäinen teos Esplanadin puistossa Helsingissä - poistettu), 2016.
